From Sankri, the trek follows a trail through a pine forest to the base camp at 3,029 meters (10,000 feet). The next day, the trek ascends to the Kedarkantha Pass at 3,820 meters (12,536 feet). From the pass, there are stunning views of the surrounding peaks, including Bandarpunch, Hathi Ghoda, and Chaukhamba. The final day of the trek is a descent back to Sankri.
